<要旨>
技術系中小企業は,研究開発から創出された知財を事業行動に戦略的に活用することで企業競争力や収益力を高める努力をする.また,そのような知財経営を実践するには,成果を上げるべき課題(知財課題)がある.本稿は,株式会社オプナスの知財活動を事例分析することで,技術系中小企業が経営課題から普遍的な知財課題を抽出し,それらに対して知財活動により成果を上げ,知財経営に変革をもたらすことを解明する.最後に,この変革から顕在化した組織改革や活動評価基準の課題が提示され,経営者の意志と行動力が,成果が上がるまで時間が掛かる知財経営とその成果物である企業競争力を結びつける成功要因の1つとして指摘される.
<Abstract>
A small and medium sized technology enterprise endeavors to enhance its corporate competitiveness and earnings power by strategically utilizing intellectual properties, created by research and development. Particular issues, defined as intellectual property issues, need to be addressed in practicing such intellectual property management. This paper analyzes the empirical case of Opnus Corporation, and clarifies that the technology enterprise improved its intellectual property management by solving the universal intellectual property issues that arose from management issues. This paper then concludes that the organizational reform created by intellectual property activities and the criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of such activities remain challenged, and suggests that a manager’s will and execution are success factors that connect such activities and the time required to yield corporate competitiveness.
