＜要旨＞
フューチャー・デザインとは，人々が直近の将来の利益の最大化を行動原理とすることなく，将来世代に配慮したいという本能的な願望を刺激する社会システムを設計することを目指した研究や実践活動であると定義される．そして，仮想将来人という思考枠組みによって社会の将来ビジョンを構想し，変革のための施策を検討することは，フューチャー・デザインの主要なツールである．著者らは，これまで職業研究者として，多くの非職業研究者と協働してきた．それらの経験を踏まえつつ，フューチャー・デザインが，社会課題の解決に資するシチズンサイエンスの発展に向けて，どのような示唆を与えることができるのかを検討する．
<Abstract
Future Design is defined as a research and practical activity aimed at designing social systems that stimulate the instinctive desire to consider future generations without relying on the principle of maximizing immediate future benefits in human behavior.　Imagining the future vision of society through the framework of an imaginary future person and considering measures for transformation are key tools in Future Design.　The authors, having worked as professional researchers, have collaborated with numerous citizens and practitioners.　Drawing on these experiences, the study explores the insights Future Design can provide for the development of citizen science contributing to the resolution of societal challenges.
