＜要旨＞
本稿では，世界で注目されているフードテックを，「食の（food）とテクノロジー（technology）を掛け合わせた造語」と定義付けを行い，取り上げる．このフードテックの分野において，世界のIT 系企業の動きが非常に活発になっている．彼らがそこまで巨額の投資をする背景には，食というインフラを抑えることで人々の生活に深く入り込み，生活に必要な関連サービスをすべて抑える「スーパーアップ」というサービス展開を目指そうとしているからである．世界のIT 系企業を始め，国の動きも活発となっている．ただし，日本は，トップ10 の圏外で遅れを取っている．しかし，日本は他国に比べて豊かな，優れた食技術が昔から備わっている．その優位性を生かすために叡智を結集し，官民一体となって動いていくことが，我々にとって重要なことであると考えられる．
<Abstract>
In this report, we will discuss food tech, a term coined by combining the words “food” and “technology”, which is attracting attention around the world.　In the field of food tech, IT companies around the world are becoming very active.　The reason why they are investing so much is that they are trying to develop a service called “Super App” that will deeply penetrate people’s lives by suppressing the infrastructure of food and all the related services necessary for daily life.　Countries around the world are also becoming more active in this field.　Japan lags just outside the top 10. However, Japan has long possessed superior food technology, which is richer than that of other countries. It is important for us to an integrated approach from national and private organizations is needed to make the most of this advantage.
